Little Spider Story

Why We Are Doing The Weaving Ceremonies

Kay had a visit from a tiny little spider, in the shower of all places, and this video is about how that encounter started the annual Ka Ta See Weaving Ceremony Gathering to build a new world.

To join this year’s Ka Ta See Weavings, go to https://www.katasee.world/weavings. On top of that page, you will find a series of four short videos that give you a greater understanding of what the Weavings are and what the little spider instructed Kay to do.

We do the Weaving Ceremonies because we need to take responsibility and fix the damage that we have caused in the web; everything that we've put together is very destructive.

There are always good parts, there are little good things here and there, there are good people, good intents here and there, but we’ve made a lot of dysfunctional systems in our culture, in our world, and we are seeing it escalate, it's getting stranger and crazier and more backward and upside down with every year we need to start, as the Hetakas would say, dreaming a new dream.

We've broken our web of life; we’ve just crapped all over it, leaving it broken, and we can change that, each one of us individually, cleaning it up, healing the threads, making room for new threads, for new possibilities. Taking out the threads that lead to nothing but pain and anger and fear and war and violence and inequality and all those things, take them out of our web, clean up the mess left behind from engaging those webs, those fibers in the web.

In the Weaving Ceremonies, we are doing just that: cleaning up, cleaning out the old and dysfunctional parts of the web of our planet, and building new webs, putting the energies and the intent the love into the healing process to build a new web.

We do that because it’s our responsibility as humans because this is our web, the web of life, of planet Earth, and humanity, that's our web.

This is what the Weavings are about; they are helping to reconstruct the web of life, the web of life of our planet, and everything on it.

You can join us in this work at https://www.katasee.world/weavings. We hope you will join us because the more people gather in these ceremonies, the more effective they are.

We are not a very large group yet, but we are a sizable group of most wonderful and committed humans, and as Margaret Mead so beautifully put it, “Never underestimate the power of a small group of committed people to change the world. In fact, it is the only thing that ever has.”

Song to Song,

Helmut
