In “The Reluctant Shaman,” Kay shares how Domano helps her understand the concept of power. At one point, he mentions that everyone hunts for it.
Very few find it in our modern world.
That enigmatic essence of living a fulfilled life is your unique human superpower. The ability to use it lies within you, but you must search for it with a deep desire to know that overrules all others and then embark on your hero’s journey.
I cannot tell you what it is; it wouldn’t mean anything to you beyond a simple understanding of Oh, yeah, I knew that. And then you forget about it. I can tell you that real power has nothing to do with force or violence.
It took me forty years of what at times felt like grueling fights to get a basic understanding of it, learn to grasp it, and live it so that today I know two things - love and freedom.
Was it worth it? Were the fights, the pain, the suffering, the near defeat, and the heart—wrenching moments of desperation all worth it? You bet a thousand times over!
Shedding the bullshit cultural programming of what you should desire will reveal what you truly long for in your human life, the reason your spirit, your Song, came here to live.
Few people know real love in our modern world. Fewer yet understand real freedom at the same time.
When you do, knowing real unconditional love, loving yourself unconditionally, and offering unconditional love to everyone instead of judging them becomes your reality. Coincidently, that is the most powerful way to build a new world and a different future for all, by far.
Live well.
