I shared a Matrix meme that said: “The only way to escape the Matrix is to unlearn everything you’ve been taught and rebuild your entire belief system based on critical thought and analysis.”
A friend commented:
“I think about this often as I raise my kids, trying to leave room for them to “unlearn” the limitations I unconsciously pass on. Hoping that they can unlearn with ease.”
This got me thinking about how deep the Matrix has bored and hooked its tentacles into our minds, into all aspects of our existence.
Following are some of those thoughts:
e. e. cummings said, “To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else - means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight, and never stop fighting.”
That is what it means to learn to live the ancient teachings. Except, eventually, and that can mean any stretch of time, you realize you don’t need to fight anymore; all you need to do is to choose to live your truth, your Song. Doing so disrupts the Matrix and its agents and agencies’ agendas, WHO, WEF, and all the other three(or more)-letter Matrix organizations, more profoundly than anything.
Sooner or later, if you continue with your studies and learning, you realize that the purpose of everything, literally everything in the mainstream of our modern culture, including, and often especially, the countless “progressive alternatives” that have more intensely flooded the scene again in recent years, is to plug us, especially our kids, into the Matrix and continuously strengthen the connections to keep us there for the rest of our lives.
All you need to do is create the illusion of freedom by convincing people that they are free while, in reality, you control every aspect of their lives.
Albert Camus said: "The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion."
Living your truth is absolute freedom.
What I’m saying is that, yes, you can try to leave some room for your kids to “unlearn,” but you may find that that “room” is hard to come by when everything in the muggle world is working hard night and day to make sure there is no room for unlearning left.
What will help our kids and us the most, the only thing that will set us, that will set humanity free, is to unplug ourselves and become so Song that our very existence evaporates the Matrix.
It starts with us waking up, drawing a line here, and standing up for ourselves and our Song. Then, our children have a chance to learn what it means to live unplugged because, as you said, they unconsciously pick that up; we pass it on to them by living it.
As Kay writes in The Reluctant Shaman about Domano, her adopted Peruvian grandfather and teacher answering her question as to what she can do to change it:
Kay: ”But what can I do to change it?"
“Don't live for them. Live for you." He answered and leaned over. "Take back what is yours. A person's Song can never get cut away from them. They tricked you into turning away from it. To blind yourselves. Make yourselves numb. But you do not have to be. You can fight. Only this war is inside you.
“The battle here is to find yourself and the path you stand on: it’s knowing your own Song and feeling this life inside you and all things; living a life that gives as much as it takes from all the relatives and meet them, know them, share love with them, learn the wonders of the world from them; to meeting with your own species in harmony and giving; being able to respect yourself among the generations. This is dancing the web. This is wanowa ka ta see. It is a choice to walk this beauty or to give up and walk as one of the living dead.”
For freedom!
Travel well!
